How does the body work during exercise? Why is sport becoming a social phenomenon? How does the body adapt to training? These are all questions and more you will explore on this Physical Education courses.
Physical Education is a course taught in two separate strands and you will choose one to study. You can specialise in 'Sport Science' or 'Sport Studies', preparing you with a broad base of knowledge within the sporting industries across the sector.
Some students will ultimately have a career pathway in mind. For those the specific pathway choice allows you to learn additional aspects that focus your learning. Students who pick the coaching and fitness strand will be expected to deliver some coaching and personal training sessions whereas the exercise science students will be expected to analyse performance and create psychological training programmes.
