Students currently studying Education and Health Courses - Child Care or Health and Social Care - were visited by Bradford University.

The aim of the talk was to inform the students of the breadth of university courses available to them, while also highlighting Midwifery as a pathway. Mohammed Ahmed spoke to the students about the range of careers available to them on completion of their full-time vocational studies. The students actively engaged in the session, getting involved in a range of activities that made them think differently about the future. Many students were surprised to discover their options.

Students who study Education and Health courses progress on to university, directly on to employment or to higher apprenticeships. Previous students have recently progressed on to Early Years and Childhood Studies at MMU, Primary Modern Languages Education at Edge Hill University and employment as a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner. Students studying Health and Social Care also progressed on to Adult Nursing at the University of Nottingham, Counselling and Psychotherapy at Salford University, Childhood Studies at the University of Huddersfield, and Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford.
