Business students visit Google Digital Garage
Business students currently studying at Ashton Sixth Form College visited Google's Digital Garage in Manchester City Centre.
Students spent the morning with Google at the Digital Garage to gain valuable skills to help them get ahead in their future careers. The morning began with a CV workshop to provide students with the best tips to help make their CVs stand out and show off their abilities to future employers. This was followed with a sessions on how to 'start your own business' and how to 'write a cover letter', encouraging students to think differently.
In just a short amount of time, these students will have completed their studies at Ashton Sixth Form College. Opportunities such as this give students the ability to progress in their careers and provides the confidence to ask questions and ask for help.
Working with Google give students from Tameside access to a global multi-national company. Google currently employs over 70,000 people worldwide (abc.xyz/investor) and the work of the company extends far beyond the search engine it is known for.
The Business department regularly provide students with opportunities to network, explore beyond the classroom and gain advice from industry professionals.
