#LunchtimeLIVE has returned this month with live performances upstairs in the Food Market. Every Wednesday, singer-songwriters, artists, bands, and DJs perform their set.

Organised by the Performing Arts department, students currently studying Performing Arts courses and beyond are welcomed centre stage. 

Last week saw Tom Gibson, a first year student currently studying Music Technology, Media and Photography bring back #LunchtimeLIVE series as he performed a number of acoustic songs. Tom also performed at the Music Festival 2018. 

This week, students were treated to two performances. The first from Aleya Warden who studies Music Production full-time at Ashton Sixth Form College. An exceptional performer who sang acoustic covers. Aleya has performed at many events throughout the academic year.

The second performance came from Rhiannon Stephenson, an incredible singer-songwriter, currently studying Music Production full-time.

Performing Arts consistently provide students with countless opportunities to develop their skills beyond the classroom. Productions, music festivals, music showcases, trips, visits, workshop and more, allow students to try new things. Whether students want to perform, develop their understanding of the industry or work behind the scenes on a technical level, there is something to suit all interests.
