Dance students watch Rambert's 'Life is a Dream'
A-Level Dance students visited the Lowry Theatre at the Salford Quays to see a Rambert Production.
Rambert is a contemporary dance company based in London dating back to 1914. It is also Britain's oldest dance company (Rambert.org.uk).
As one of the Lowry's original partners, Rambert returns each year and this year they performed its first full-length narrative dance work (thelowry.com).
Current Dance students at Ashton Sixth Form College were lucky enough to attend the performance of 'Life is a Dream'. Trips of this kind allow students to see the work of Olivier Award-winning choreographers such as Kim Brandstrup firsthand. While working on their own performances, they gain a greater understanding of the industry.
