A cracking eggs-periment in Psychology

10 December 2018

Psychology students had a cracking time recently exploring the attachment theory in an unique way.

Students had to construct their egg baby and give their egg human characteristics. Throughout the next few weeks, they will put together their personal journals outlining their attachment journey.

At the moment, students are exploring the attachment theory in class. In particular they are looking at reciprocity and interactional synchrony - how both the child and the caregiver become mutual contributors and in some ways mirror their behaviour.

While the 'eggs-periment' was a bit of fun, it has presented some very real questions and discussion around the topic. Moving forward, the students will have a real understanding of the topic.
