£1000+ for the Tameside4Good Education and Health Fundraiser
Education and Health students have been tirelessly fundraising throughout December in aid of Tameside 4 Good's Christmas Toy Appeal.
Their initial fundraiser was a Disney-themed fancy dress in which they raised over £900 - a staggering amount. They also set up a Christmas stall in college selling festive gifts to push their overall total to over £1000.
The money they raised was then used to purchase a range of toys for a mix of age groups. These toys were then collected by Tameside Council and will provide a Christmas gift to a young child who may not otherwise receive a present this year.
The Education and Health team select Tameside 4 Good as their charity each year because of the work they do within the local borough. The children and families that are helped through the organisation live here in Tameside. They could even potentially be students at Ashton in the not too distant future.
