Music Technology students visited the Imperial War Museum North at the Salford Quays. 

The museum found its home in Manchester in 2002 and is built on the grounds of the Hovis Grain Silos which were destroyed during the Manchester Blitz during the Second World War. 

The unique and purpose-built exhibition space makes extensive use of its environment through imagery and sound. One of it current, permanent exhibitions is the 'Big Picture Show' - a 360 cinematic display. IMW North "recently upgraded [the exhibition] to the latest HD technology, [which] immerses you in the heart of the action and creates a moving sensory experience" (iwm.org.uk).

Students were able to explore the museum and its innovative use of technology in order to tell the story of our world's history.
