Coronavirus response update 13th May 2020

I hope this email finds you and your families well, health and safe.

A few updates today:

Please could you encourage your sons and daughters who are planning to progress to university to complete their UCAS personal statement? These should be written in Word and then transferred to the appropriate place on Cedar. Senior Tutors will be reviewing these in the next few weeks and providing guidance on how to improve them. Senior Tutors will be commencing our UCAS process after half term so it would be useful if your sons and daughters could be researching universities and courses using the UCAS website (www.ucas.com) and the websites of individual universities. More information will be sent to students later this week in the student newsflash.

Students have been made aware that the A1 to A2 Progression survey is now live. Please could you encourage your son and daughters to complete this by Friday 15th May at the latest? Again, more information about this and how to access it will be in the student newsflash soon.   

We continue to review the guidance from the Government on the re-opening of the college and have met to begin our planning today. There are still many questions to answer and much discussion to take place before we have a plan and a firm date. We will, of course, keep you posted and give as much notice as possible before any return. In the meantime, please encourage your sons and daughters to continue to engage in their learning from home.
