Geography alumni volunteers for Sustrans Charity
Ashton Sixth Form College alumni, Charlotte Brocklehurst, has been volunteering with Sustrans.
Sustrans is a charity, working to make "it easier for people to walk and cycle". They are the self-proclaimed "custodians of the National Cycle Network, a UK-wide network of traffic-free paths for everyone, connecting cities, towns and countryside, loved by the communities they serve" (www.sustrans.org.uk/about-us).
Sustrans North West posted on Facebook that Charlotte is now a volunteer Group Coordinator in Tameside. Her team were taking part in the work around the Trans Pennine Trail at the Godley Turntable.
While studying at Ashton Sixth Form College, Charlotte completed her A Levels in Chemistry (A), Physics (B), and Geography (B). She then went on to study Earth Sciences at UCL. Charlotte's early education began at Alder Community High School.
