Student Council handover begins for 2021-22
The Student Council at Ashton Sixth Form College is a key element of its success, ensuring that all students have a voice and a platform to make positive changes across college.
The Student Council meet regularly and a representative from the council attends weekly Senior Leadership meetings to feedback and put forward requests that they feel are vital to improving the student experience. They can also offer opinions on the senior decisions which are likely to impact students. Over the past academic year, with important decisions being made invovling exams and coronavirus restrictions, this dialogue and two-way communication has been invaluable.
As the academic year draws to a close, the Student Council of 2020-2021, met the newly elected Student Council President and team for 2021-2022. This was an amazing opportunity for the outgoing council to share their words of wisdom and experience with the incoming council. It also allowed those who will step in to the role the chance to ask questions.
