Business student secures top apprenticeship with Mazars
Daisy Artingstall from Mossley Hollins High School has been offered a top apprenticeship at global accounting firm, Mazars.
Daisy currently studies A Levels in Maths, Economics and Spanish at Ashton Sixth Form College.
A few months ago, she saw an Instagram advert from Young Professionals. They are a company that focus on connecting young people with apprenticeships, work experience and insight days for some of the world’s largest employers.
In recent months, Daisy joined a series of online zoom sessions, learning about the opportunities available in the finance sector and in particular, how to get apprenticeships. Mazars were one of the companies presenting during one of the sessions. She also went to an in-person session which Mazars also featured at. It was from there she decided to set her sights on joining the international firm that has a presence in 90 countries, employing around 42,000 professionals (Mazars).
After applying, Daisy entered a lengthy and competitive application process. She completed a range of stages including online assessments, telephone interviews, maths and verbal reasoning questions, assessment centres and more. Daisy completed all of these stages in her own time whilst studying and preparing for mock exams. She was up against a range of graduates and professionals. Her knowledge and passion shone as she was offered an unconditional place.
Daisy has secured her apprenticeship with the company, that will begin in September, once she has finished her A Levels. We wish Daisy every luck and success with her future post A Levels!
