First year student, Charlie Barnard currently studies Maths, Physics and Sports Science here at Ashton, and is part of our XL programme.

He has been playing for Lancashire Cricket's second team over the past few weeks and recently made his debut against Warwickshire. His debut was a 4 day game located in Chester and he took 4 wickets over the course of the game! 

Charlie is currently in Nottingham and about to play another 4 day game with the Lancashire 2nd team. 

Along with playing for Lancashire, Charlie plays for Hyde cricket club on a weekend. He has been playing cricket from a young age and really excited to have made his debut!
