Principal's Recognition Lunch December 2022
Centre Principal Lisa Richards held the second recognition lunch for nominated pupils this week. This half term, each department nominated 1 student and each senior tutor nominated 2 students that have stood out to them.

Amy Butler

"Amy has made an excellent start to the year and has been working incredibly hard to balance three art subjects. Her recent submissions for formal assessment point one have been of a very high standard. All four of her teachers are extremely impressed with her work ethic, creative ability and conscientiousness. I was particularly impressed with her most recent performances in our concert, 'Candle Lit', as she showed extraordinary attention to detail in the pieces she played."
Charlie Bowler

"Charlie is really committed to the Digital Games Production course. The work he puts into his skill development is excellent. He uses his study time to make additional content; he is always keen to try new things and he creates excellent gameplay. He is really focused on his progression, worked really hard on his UCAS statement and is now working hard to create his portfolio for his University interviews. "As a department, we are extremely proud of all Fawn has achieved since transitioning to college. Delivering a presentation about her condition firstly to her direct teachers and Senior Tutor, then to the whole staff has proved invaluable, helping raise awareness of this condition and providing strategies for support. Well done also for playing The Last Post on the trombone at the remembrance service.

"Latisha has been exception in tutorial's so far, this academic year. However, the reason why I am nominating her is because she was the first of my tutees to have a fully finished UCAS application which has now been sent. This was only made possible by Latisha engaging with the UCAS subject support with her teachers as well as engaging successfully with the careers team all of whom have had a hand in perfecting her personal statement. On Top of this her UCAS reference is by far one of the best I have dealt with, and this is all down to how much energy and commitment she has shown in achieving her educational and career goals of becoming a Midwife. The extra-curriculum activities she has embarked on is second to none and this deserves to be celebrated."
