Year 8 students from Longdendale High School and Rayner Stephens High School recently visited Ashton Sixth Form College to participate in the Stamford Park Trust Aspirations day.

The SPT Aspirations programme is a series of bespoke activities that students from Year 7 to Year 11 participate in. The programme is designed to help students develop both academically and personally and prepare for their futures. 

Year 8 students took part in a murder mystery activity, using their skills in core subjects - Maths, English and Science.

Students worked together throughout the day to solve the mystery, gathering and analysing evidence in Science, unpicking the language used in clues in English and solving puzzles to crack codes and open locks in Maths.

All students portrayed excellent team work and mystery solving skills throughout the day!
