Art students visit The Courtauld Institute of Art!
Over the last few years, Art & Design students have been collaborating with The Courtauld Institute through a range of workshops, webinars.
More recently students took part in a highly prestigious, all expenses paid, gallery visit to Somerset House, home of The Courtauld Institute of Art, the world leading centre for the study of History of Art, Conservation and Curating.
20 of our Art & Design A Level students spent a day in London immersed in a range of workshop activities exploring aspects of curating, exhibition design, interpretation, and communication. The event was organised by Tessa Carr and workshops were led by Dr Tilly Scantlebury (informed by The Courtauld's remarkable and eclectic private art collection).
Just like last year, our students were once again amazing, as was their participation and level of engagement throughout the day which culminated in impressive group presentations of their own curated shows. They were a credit to themselves and college and should be congratulated for making this such a memorable and fabulous occasion - well done guys!
