As part of our Ashton Explore Programme, we have our Explore Employability strand. These extra-curricular activities allow students to learn more about specific industries and roles and hear from experts about their own career journeys.

Our Careers and Employability team, who run the Explore Employability activities, have recently introduced Apprenticeship Club. Apprenticeship Club covers a range of support, including finding apprenticeship opportunities, application and interview preparation, meeting employers and training providers and preparing for the apprenticeship journey.

Apprenticeship Club runs every Monday. Last week, the team welcomed Ashton Sixth Form College alumni, Dan Turner. Dan left Ashton in 2023 and has now started an apprenticeship with global company, Siemens. 

Dan discussed his new role and his personal journey of securing his apprenticeship, and what life is like as an apprentice with Siemens. He was also promoting Siemen's 2024 Apprenticeship programme!
