Congratulations to Ben on securing his first teaching post for September 2017!
Ben has always had a great enthusiasm for mathematics and a love of sharing that passion with others.
Ben began his academic life as a physics student at Durham University but while there he quickly realised that physics was not for him. However, during this time Ben did discover two of his greatest passions in life. Firstly, mathematics, not only on an academic level but a much deeper and philosophical one. Secondly, working with young people.
We are delighted that Ben has secured a permanent teaching position at Northfield School in Billingham. Congratulations!
Ben says "I applied to Ashton Sixth Form College because the course had a large focus on teaching practice and relatively small class size meant that I would be able to receive plenty of support. A highlight of the course for me was celebrating with my year 10 class after they finished their Statistics GCSE exam. I would recommend ASFC because the staff have all been incredibly supportive. I would not have got through this year without them."
