"We are very proud of the second men's football team for winning the title and then the play off final. This is a great achievement as they were unbeaten all season, winning every game and never going behind in any game. It is a special achievement as they struggled to win a game last season. More importantly though the players have shown 100% effort and not had one booking or sending off showing their fair play at all times."
Players have shown outstanding dedication and teamwork throughout the competition. In the semi-final, Ashton Sixth Form College won 3-1 against Loreto College. The men's football team have consistently delivered this year as they also won the North West College's Division 2B. Fixtures were as follows:

Graham Saffery, Teacher of PE & Public Services, continues,
"They have always praised the opposition's efforts and never became big headed despite their success, which I believe bodes well as they leave college and enter the wider community as good sports players but even better people."
