Ashton Sixth Form College men's football team faced the college's brand new City in the Community team. 

Despite the torrential downpour that took place moments before kick off, the friendly marked the start of the college football season.

Ashton Sixth Form College's football team is made up of a range of students on a whole host of different courses. The City in the Community team is made up of students who are currently studying Football Coaching at Ashton. 

Last year, the Ashton Sixth Form College football team were crowned North West Colleges League Champions.
