Coronavirus response update - 19.06.20
Coronavirus response update 19th June 2020
I hope this finds you and your family safe and well.
A few updates today:
The college reopens for a small number of invited students from Wednesday 24th June for some small scale face to face contact. Invitations to students have been sent out today. Please could you encourage your sons and daughters to check their email and respond if they have received an invitation?
We have also sent some guidance information for those returning to college next week. These documents illustrate how the college will operate, what we have done to keep members of the college community safe and the physical changes we have made to our site. This information will also be housed on this website. Please take some time to read it so you are aware of what we have done to prepare for our reopening, and encourage your sons and daughters to read this too. I hope you find our key messages reassuring.
Online live teaching will continue as normal until Friday 3rd July, the last day of term for students. These are working really well and the feedback from students and staff has been excellent. Please could you encourage your sons and daughters to continue to engage in their studies; it’s a really important time for them.
Some good news! The college was successful in the SFCA Awards yesterday. We won the award for the Independent Learning category, came second in the Community Impact award and came third in the Social Mobility award. Well done to all involved in the work submitted for these awards and congratulations!!
That’s all for this week.
Take care, look after yourself, your families and each other; be patient and stay positive.
