Coronavirus response update - 22.06.20
Coronavirus response update 22nd June 2020
I hope this finds you and your family safe and well.
A few (short) updates today:
The college reopens for a small number of invited students from Wednesday 24th June for some small scale face to face contact. Invitations to students were sent out on Friday last week. Please could you encourage your sons and daughters to check their email and respond if they have received an invitation? The college is only open for those students who have been invited; no other student should attend college. It is important that we know who is on site at any one time for NHS Track and Trace purposes should this service be needed.
We have also sent some guidance information for those returning to college this week. These documents illustrate how the college will operate, what we have done to keep members of the college community safe and the physical changes we have made to our site. This information will also be housed on our website (www.asfc.ac.uk/student-life/college-reopening). Please take some time to read it so you are aware of what we have done to prepare for our reopening, and encourage your sons and daughters to read this too. I hope you find our key messages reassuring; we have focused on protecting the health and safety of all members of the college community in our decision making.
Online live teaching will continue as normal until Friday 3rd July, the last day of term for students. These are working really well and the feedback from students and staff has been excellent. Please could you encourage your sons and daughters to continue to engage in their studies; it’s a really important time for them.
That’s all for this week.
Take care, look after yourself, your families and each other; be patient and stay positive.
Anton
