Last term, 9 Ashton Sixth Form College students participated in volunteering at a local GP surgery in Stockport.

The students supported clients in Digital Workshops, where they have been training them on how to use apps and websites to digitally access their GP surgery and healthcare in general. 

Emma, the digital health lead at the surgery commented:

"The students did a fantastic job and I was really impressed with how well they engaged with the patients, putting them at eased and really following the training I had given around making sure the patients did things themselves"

This fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the health care sector, was available to students through our enrichment programme.
