English Language and Literature students welcomed visitors from The Royal Exchange Theatre this week.

Tom Stocks and Tim Foley are visiting GCSE and A Level students to deliver a interactive workshop focused on Dracula. The aim of the workshop was to tap into the fears in which young people experience today. Various topics were explored, such as online bullying, catfishing and Artificial Intelligence. 

The original Dracula by Bram Stoker references anxieties and fears experienced by the Victorian audience in 1987. The research and gatherings from these workshops on what young people fear today, will influence a new Dracula script and other gothic / horror plays in the future.

Students had a fantastic afternoon working with Tom and Tim on this unique experience.
